over 10, i read every day, my paintbrushes and my books fight daily over who will get me
last great read The Anubis Gates - Tim Powers, probably more fantasy than sci-fi but you might like? Kind of time travelling thriller with some dark characters. And that was followed by Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman which was kind of more of the same!
James P Blaylock is cool too, don't know how to define that either but he's in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi section
what was your last best read?
I used to read about 40 books a year...that is, until I got to college and have NO TIME AT ALL to read. This year, I've read about eight books, and I'll probably read two more next month. That'll probably be it for the rest of the year.
Depends what mood I'm in. I'm in a gaming mood at the moment, so I've pretty much been hardcore gaming for the last month or two. Then there's other moods where I just code/script and NOTHING else, other times I just read.
I've only read about ~30 books in this lifetime if I was to be honest. I started off a lot more than that but they just couldn't keep me interested. I was planning on a change, and somewhat of an effort to start reading at least 1 book/month, but hell, every time I plan on doing something, 20 other events ban me from doing that.
I read a lot and completely different stuff from each other..From politics, historical facts or a serial killer homage to fiction, typography and design journals. I can read from Schopenhauer to Kellog's nutritional facts bar at the side of the box.. Shitloads of stuff on the web, tho I get tired at some point.
